UPCOMING COMEDY SHOWS
Stand-up comedy shows are live comedic performances with talent booked in advance.
Shows generally consist of one or more opening comedians, a feature and a headliner to close the show out. Occasionally a guest performer will be thrown into the mix.

UPCOMING OPEN MICS
Stand-up comedy open mics are different from regular shows because they’re places where aspiring comedians, as well as seasoned performers, try out new jokes in front of a live audience. These events are typically informal and welcoming to newcomers, providing a platform for comedians to experiment and hone their craft. The audience, made up of comedy fans, comedians, and people just looking for a good time, is an important piece of the puzzle, because comedians need to hear reactions to the jokes, both good and bad.
You might hear some great new jokes and some that don’t quite land, but everyone’s encouraged to laugh, clap, or even groan to give feedback to the comedians. Expect a mix of hilarious moments, occasional misfires and a bomb or two, but remember, your laughter and support mean a lot to the comedians striving to entertain you!

High Water started in 2023 as an Instagram account to share show announcements and video clips of local comics to generate more interest in comedy shows in the Memphis area.
In September of 2023, we were asked to produce our first comedy show at Memphis Current and while producing shows isn’t what we set out to do, we decided to accept the challenge and produced The Inside Joke on October 6th, 2023.
Since then, we’ve worked with some of the best talent from across the country to create unique comedy experiences for our growing audience, promote and incubate up and coming comics and produce YouTube & social media content to grow our local community.
